Swimming and diving place fifth at Liberty Leagues
Last weekend the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams competed in the Liberty League Championships. Both teams showed strong performances and placed fifth out of eight teams.
Emily Love ’09 continued to swim well, winning four individual races and breaking two league records in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke. The 400-yard freestyle A and B relay teams had outstanding swims as well, placing first and second and clinching fifth place for the team.
For the men, junior John Alaimo’s top places in the 400-yard butterfly and 200-yard freestyle and diver senior Andrew Wood’s third-place finish on the 3-meter propelled the team to their fifth-place finish. —E.P.
