Ill-gotten gains
Criminal mischief has been discovered in the Cushing House basement. The glass window of a vending machine was shattered, and $29 worth of food was stolen. The vending machine is stocked and maintained by Triple J vending is not owned by the college.

Man cited for urination
A male non-student was charged by security for public indecency on Sept. 29 after urinating on the gate to Chicago Hall. He has been issued a trespassing warning and is no longer allowed on campus.—E.G.
Bikes and locks
Security has found numerous bikes locked to railings of buildings. This procedure violates the fire code, and the Office of Security would like to remind students to lock their bikes to the racks located outside of most academic and residential buildings. —E.G.
VSA-IN-BRIEF
The Vassar Student Association (VSA) Council allocated $979 to the Vassar College Debate Society to host a collegiate debate tournament. On Oct. 12, debate teams from many of the top colleges and universities on the east coast will compete in Poughkeepsie.
