Sharnak a finalist for 2007 NCAA honor

Vassar tennis team’s All-American graduate Debbie Sharnak ’07 was recently announced as one of the nine finalists for the 2007 National Collegiate Athletics Assocation distinguished honor of Woman of the Year (athletics.vassar.edu). This award recognizes a female from any division of NCAA athletics for her academic and athletic achievements, as well as her service and leadership. The award recipient will be announced on Oct. 27 at the annual NCAA awards.

Liberty League honors received

Amanda Hsuing ’08 from the women’s volleyball team was named the Liberty League’s Performer of the Week after she broke the College’s record for all-time digs. Greg Katz ’11 from men’s tennis received the League’s honor of co-Rookie of the Week after winning the B Flight Consolation Championship in the Middlebury Invitational (athletics.vassar.edu ).
