Valuable items gone missing

A student reported that jewelry was missing from a South Commons house on Feb. 23. The estimated value of the missing items was $240, but the student chose not to report it to the police.

Candle found as culprit

Security received a noise and smoking complaint at 11:27 p.m. on Feb. 23 on the third floor of Raymond. The students claimed they had merely been burning a candle and turned down the music. The candle was confiscated. —S.S.

Garbage can party busted in Lathrop

An officer patrolling the fourth floor of Lathrop House on Feb. 24 found a student drinking a can of beer by the garbage cans. A closer look revealed one garbage can to be filled with 117 cans of beer and a large container of what the student referred to as “jungle juice.” Many other underage students were present and all items were confiscated. —S.S.

Trespasser caught “sinning” in Jewett

An officer on-call at the Seven Deadly Sins party in Jewett House on Feb. 25 observed a male subject who was on the trespass list. The Town of Poughkeepsie police arrested the person for criminal trespass. —S.S.

Lone drinker found in Sanders Classroom
Security discovered a person drinking a can of beer in Sanders Classroom at 8:20 p.m. on Feb 24. The person, however, was of legal age and unaware of open container rule on campus. —S.S.
