Security incensed by students’ actions
On Sept. 27 at 11:58 p.m., a Security officer patrolling Lathrop House smelled strong incense coming from inside a room and knocked on the door. The students inside acknowledged they had burned incense earlier in the evening, as a charred bottle with holes on the bottom sat on a table and they had covered the fire alarm with a large towel. The towel was removed and the incense was confiscated. —Brian Farkas, Assistant News Editor

Vandals cause a scene at the Shiva
On Sept. 30 at 2:17 a.m., people throwing rocks behind the Shiva Theater shattered a window. Anyone with information about this should contact Associate Director of Security Kim Squillace at extension 5202. —B.F.

Yearbook missing PowerBook
On Oct. 2 at 7 p.m., the Vassarion Yearbook Office reported a missing Mac PowerBook. The theft took place over the summer, and the computer was last seen on May 20. Students with information regarding this theft should contact Security. —B.F.

Blood shortage persists, donors needed
In light of the blood shortage throughout the Hudson Valley region, the American Red Cross will hold a blood drive in the Kenyon Club Room from 12:30 p.m.-6 p.m on Oct. 10. Donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good health. Those with Type-O blood and a negative RH factor are especially needed, as this is a universal blood type. —B.F.
