You may have heard of the Duke University Cameron Crazies—a blue mass of die-hard college basketball fans who flock en masse to Blue Devil basketball games. On Friday, Feb. 10, Vassar got its own taste of craziness at the Brewer men’s game against Hamilton.

The Athletic Department recorded 275 attendees at the women’s basketball game at 6 p.m., and 400 fans at the following men’s match-up. The turn-out of students and Poughkeepsie community members was partially due to the fact it was deemed “Crazy Fan Night” by the Student-Athlete Mentors.

A large number of elementary school basketball players also attended the games, as it was also the Athletic Department’s “Take Your Kid to the Game Night.” Atendees had opportunities to have their pictures taken with the teams, as well as to get autographs from the humbled student-athletes.
