An officer patrolling near North Gate on Nov. 13 heard a female voice screaming. The officer found the location of the female, and discovered three non-Vassar students involved in a dispute. A male had hit a female friend of his girlfriend who tried to intervene in a fight he was in with his girlfriend. The male started a fight with security officers at the scene. The officers called town police for backup. Security filed harassment charges, and the suspect was taken into custody. The three students were on campus to visit friends who are Vassar students.

On Nov. 15 at 3:20 p.m. a student reported two males trying to enter her room in Lathrop. Officers found them in a hallway, who told them that they were looking for friends. The officers put the subjects in the lobby while the officers called the police. The two subjects ran down the hall, and were chased for 15 minutes. Security found them by the Manchester Apartments. Town police arrested one of the subjects for trespassing. The second male was not caught, but police know his identity. —A.S.
