Tennis wins big at state championships

Balanced mix leads to fourth straight win for women’s team

Over October break, the tennis team became New York State Champions for the fourth year running. Earlier this month, the women also garnered the title of Liberty League Chgampions for the fourth straight year.

Stay confuses with knotty plot

Recent thrillers, inspired by the enormous success of films like The Sixth Sense, have conditioned viewers to watch for the big twist ending that brings all the threads of the plot together. When such an ending fails to adequately explain what has just happened in the story, and in fact only adds to the confusion, as does the finish of Stay, it can effectively ruin what might have otherwise been a passable movie-going experience.

MICA de-authorized, loses VSA funding

The Moderate, Independent, and Conservative Alliance (MICA) was de-authorized on Sunday, Oct. 23. The Vassar Student Association (VSA) passed a motion to de-authorize after a motion to de-recognize failed. After passing a resolution on Sept. 18, VSA revisited the issue with The Imperialist and MICA during their first meeting after break.
