Room found trashed in Lathrop

Security received a call on Sept. 22 at 11 a.m. that a room in Lathrop was trashed with a mixture of eggs, flour, and shaving cream spread all over the floor and bed. The mess was discovered by a Buildings and Grounds worker the morning after the room was trashed, and a report was filed. This incident is still under investigation. —Ariel Schwartz, Assistant News Editor

Suspicious individual seen in library

On Sept. 22 at 7:30 p.m., Security recieved a call from someone in the library that a suspicious person was walking around. The person was found in the library, and ran away. The individual was uncooperative and was issued a trespass. —A.S.

Graffiti discovered on equipment

A Security Officer on patrol outside the College center on Sept. 25 at 2:15 a.m witnessed two student males near a building contractors’ cherry-picker. The officer noticed that one of the students was holding a paint pen. There was evidence of graffiti on the contractors’ equipment. This incident is still under investigation.—A.S.

Three bicycle larcenies reported

Three bike larcenies were reported this past week. On Sept. 24, a student reported a missing bike from in front of ACDC. On Sept. 25 a stolen bike was found left in North Lot, and on Sept. 26 a bike was stolen from the Town Houses.—A.S.

Local calls no longer need PAC code

Starting on Oct. 1, local calls made from dorms will not require PAC codes. Only long-distance calls will use PAC codes. Also, the monthly fee for codes has been eliminated. According to Telecommunications Manager of Computing and Information Services John Kladis, long distance charges will cost 6.5 cents a minute. Kladis sent out a campus-wide e-mail informing students of this change.—Anita Varma, Senior Editor
