West Point student carrying sword

A man carrying a real sword at the campus Halloween party was reported to security on Oct. 29 at 11:30 p.m. He was a West Point student, and unaware of Vassar regulations. The sword was taken, and the man was permitted to retrieve it after the event. —A.S.

Man running in North Hall of Main

Security received a report of a man running through the North Hall of Main on Oct. 29 at 1:58 a.m. He was not located, but a broken window was found. —Ariel Schwartz

Marijuana confiscated in Josselyn

Josselyn security patrollers smelled marijuana coming from a room on the 4th floor on Oct. 30 at 2:18 a.m. Security opened the door and found students smoking. The students were cooperative. —A.S.

Students on Chicago Hall roof

An officer observed four students on the roof of Chicago Hall on Oct. 30 at 2:30 a.m. The students cooperated and came down at the officer’s request. —A.S.

Mercury spill on student's laptop

A student reported that a thermometer broke in her room, spilling mercury on her laptop on Oct. 30 at 11:11 a.m. Security took the laptop to have the mercury removed, and the student was evacuated from her room. —A.S.

Beer bottle in Raymond confiscated

Security observed a student drinking a bottle of beer in a Raymond stairwell on Oct. 30 at 9:30 p.m. The bottle was confiscated. —A.S.

Personal items missing from TH

A student living in Town House D Block reported several personal items missing on Oct. 31 at 9 a.m. There had been a party the night before in D Block. —A.S.
